What is the Alligator Bob Contest?
| |
“Alligator Bob” is a special promotional contest put forth by FlatDoor.com to serve as an example of how simple and beneficial it can be to use FlatDoor.com to conduct business on line. The contest is both fun and exciting without mentioning that you could have the chance to earn $$$ in an ongoing promotion to help poor Alligator Bob solve his problems. Get you video camera ready and submit as many videos as you like. |
| |
How do you help Alligator Bob? |
| Follow these steps to submit your video and help Bob: |
Sign up as a FlatDoor supplier (It's Free!). |
Create a 30-second maximum video that resolves at least one of his problems, and leaves an entry for the next episode to start from. End with a new problem that Bob is now confronted with, even though you resolved the one(s) he started with. In your video, provide a hint to a location (picked from the FlatDoor list of countries and cities) and category (from the list of categories on the FlatDoor home page) as to where the solution could be found. You are free to use the music track we have on our initial video for your submission if you want to. A file of this music track is posted below and at the bottom of this page. |

Post your video solving Alligator Bob's problem on your own YouTube page. |
Locate the 'Help Bob' project under the correct location and category on FlatDoor.com hinted on in the video above and enter a bid consisting of the URL linking to your video, your price for your help (being guided by the budget price listed in the project and the other bids coming in) and any minor notes needed to explain your posting – there should really be no need for notes, but maybe . . . . Incidentally, our budget for Bob's help is pretty much what we state in the project budget – so you probably won't get rich from this project! |
You are free to submit more than one bid and of course a different video.
You are free to revise your bid and video link at any time before the closing of the project.
You are free to view other bids and the videos that they lead to.
FlatDoor.com will review the videos posted and the corresponding bids, and select one to carry on the 'Help Bob' saga, unless the absurd happens and no submission is considered worthy of Bob's attention (is this possible?).
With the new problem(s) that Bob has, we intend to start another contest soliciting more help videos to get Bob out of trouble – and likely get him in more trouble again! In each new contest round, the 'Help Bob' project will be found in a different location and category on FlatDoor.com hinted at in the previous winning video.
Enjoy! Have a little fun while you're helping Alligator Bob. And who knows, you might discover how easy FlatDoor.com can be to conduct business on line!
